Health Assistants


20 job-seekers are needed for a Health Assistant positions in Plymouth Meeting, PA! As the Health Assistant, you will primarily be responsible for responsible for providing clients with a differentiated member services experience. You will primarily answer inbound calls from clients regarding their benefits, claims, invoices, billing and other plan related questions. This temporary position is offering $15 an hour.


Responsibilities of the Health Assistants include:



  • Answering calls in a high volume, fast paced environment, from clients regarding their benefits, provider network, claims, invoices, billing and other health plan related questions

  • Probing for information to understand the client’s questions or issue in order to ensure first call resolution

  • Navigating and engaging multiple systems, and pulling the puzzle pieces together to resolve the customer’s questions, complex issues and requests

  • Providing guidance to customers regarding their coverage, provider network, claims and premium payments

  • Educating and empowering members to use the tools and resources available to them so they can self-service and become more savvy health care consumers

  • Navigating and providing input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of key business processes

  • Performing other relevant tasks, as needed.

Required Qualifications :

Requirements:



  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in an insurance setting (Health Plan preferably) dealing with claims, benefits and eligibility issues

  • College Degree Preferred (not required)

  • Excellent customer service skills; strong verbal and written communication

  • Ability to respond emphatically

  • Experience resolving benefits and provider network questions in a fast paced, telephonic environment

  • Ability to answer the unasked question providing first call resolution

  • Ability to navigate multiple systems and multi-task

  • Ability to de-escalate tense situations and turn them into productive, resolve oriented conversations

  • Ability to navigate basic math scenarios including percentages, premiums/payments and out of pocket expenses (deductibles/coinsurance/copays)

  • Quick thinker

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Initiative, independence and a willingness to learn

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team and collaborate

  • Bi-lingual preferred

  • Available to work 40 hours a week between 8am and 8pm
