VP of Total Rewards



A VP of Total Rewards is needed to work with our client in McClellan Park, CA! As the VP of Total Rewards, you will be responsible for collaborating with Senior Leadership to define and drive the strategic direction of Total Rewards. This direct-hire opportunity offers $150k-$175k annually!



Responsibilities of the VP of Total Rewards Include:



  • Provide strategic leadership and operational management for the planning, developing, and administering of an innovative benefits strategy that will attract, engage, and retain top talent for the organization. 

  • Provide strategic direction and operational management for all Compensation and Rewards programs, including the design, communication, and execution of executive compensation programs.

  • Continuously evaluate and evolve our Compensation and Rewards programs to ensure they are externally competitive, internally aligned with our business needs, and ultimately incenting the intended behaviors/outcomes.

  • Lead ongoing market analysis, design, and execution of our compensation programs.

  • Own the preparation of all compensation materials for presentation to the senior leadership team and HR team members

  • Establish and measure key compensation and benefit program metrics. Regularly benchmark company programs and monitor external trends to proactively adjust company plans and programs to ensure market competitiveness.

  • Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to drive employee awareness and understanding of all total reward programs.

  • Lead and drive projects that improve payroll processes, tools and enable us to scale the business more effectively

  • Proactive leadership and direction to ensure the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly and weekly payroll in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policy

  • Manage, lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented Total Rewards professionals.

  • Demonstrated success in partnering with finance leaders, legal team, and other key stakeholders to develop a dynamic total rewards program.

  • Lead all mandatory compensation and benefits reporting in accordance with compliance standards.

  • Work with various vendors to negotiate the best prices and incentives


Required Qualifications :
Responsibilities of the VP of Total Rewards Include:



  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources at mid to large size companies

  • 6+ years of experience in benefits, compensation, and payroll

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance or related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • Must have experience with complex comp plans, including short-term and long-term incentives

  • Experience in broad-based compensation and exec compensation functions

  • Experience in US Benefits, including fully insured, self-insured plans, 401K, as well as all standard regulatory and reporting matters

  • Current working knowledge of HRIS systems, ideally UKG

  • Track record of successful team leadership and demonstrated influencer across multiple teams

  • Must have experience Managing Corp Benefits programs, Pay structure, Bonuses, commissions Structure ETC
