Job Title: Staff Accountant (Payroll)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant (Payroll) to join our client and play a vital role in supporting their financial operations. This onsite, direct-hire position, based in Wayne, PA, focuses on payroll processing, benefits administration, and financial reporting across multiple properties. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

  • $60,000 – $75,000/year (based on experience)

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant (Payroll):

  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage payroll-related tax filings and deductions in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Prepare and submit required payroll reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Support cash management functions across all properties
  • Handle benefit and worker’s compensation billing processes, including uploads and payment tracking
  • Submit EEO-1 data and maintain accurate compliance reporting
  • Communicate payroll and tax updates to internal stakeholders
  • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
  • Allocate benefits expenses and process related payments
  • Provide support during audits and participate in confidential financial projects
  • Foster professional relationships with internal teams and maintain high standards of conduct and appearance

Qualifications and Skills for the Staff Accountant (Payroll):

  • 2+ years of payroll or accounting experience, preferably within hospitality or a multi-location environment
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Excel
  • Solid understanding of general ledger concepts and payroll systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
