Job Title: Manager, Tax Services

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Manager, Tax Services to join our client to lead tax compliance efforts and deliver high-level advisory support for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. In this role, you’ll guide the preparation and review of a wide range of complex tax filings while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with long-term wealth goals. You will work closely with internal partners and external advisors to shape tax strategies that provide meaningful value, all while fostering the growth of a small, collaborative tax team. This position offers the opportunity to influence tax strategy, elevate processes, and be a key contributor in an evolving wealth management environment.

Compensation:
$100,000 – $130,000/year

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Manager, Tax Services:

Comprehensive Tax Compliance Oversight
Lead the preparation, review, and timely filing of complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, families, and related entities, ensuring accuracy across multiple form types (1040s, 709s, 1065s, 1120s, 990-PFs).

Coordination of Fiduciary and Outsourced Tax Work
Manage relationships with outsourced preparers handling fiduciary returns (1041s), confirming accurate data collection and organization of required documents, including investment details, K-1s, and supporting statements.

Strategic Tax Planning & Advisory Support
Provide high-level guidance on wealth transfer, estate planning, and investment structuring, identifying opportunities to enhance tax efficiency for ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Team Leadership & Development
Mentor tax staff by sharing technical expertise, guiding workload priorities, and promoting ongoing learning and professional growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
Partner with internal wealth management, legal, and compliance teams to align tax strategies with broader financial plans, while advancing process improvements through technology and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills for the Manager, Tax Services:

• A background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced credentials such as a Master of Taxation or JD are highly valued.

• Active CPA required; additional certifications (e.g., CFP) are a plus.

• 7+ years of progressive experience in individual and fiduciary tax planning for ultra-high-net-worth clients.

• Strong command of tax law related to individuals, trusts, estates, and complex investment entities.

• Demonstrated leadership ability with experience coaching or managing tax professionals.

• Proficiency with tax preparation systems; experience with UltraTax or wealth management software is beneficial.

• Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities, both with clients and internal teams.
