Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payment Processor to join our client in Marlton, NJ! The Payment Processor will play a crucial role in accurately and timely processing customer mortgage payments to our servicing system. This temporary opportunity offers $19/Hour!

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accurately and timely post customer payments and payoffs to the servicing system of record, either manually or electronically. Perform reconciliation of all posted items.
  • Disperse checks and perform reconciliation of disbursements.
  • Contact attorneys, title agents, and borrowers for short payoffs when necessary.
  • Set up and maintain ACH accounts.
  • Work on pending and exception items and maintain and process daily exception reports to minimize company risk.
  • Maintain reversal of posting transactions such as NSF and reversals.
  • Scan mortgage payments into the servicing system and depository bank.
  • Open and process mail, including receiving, tracking, and documenting incoming Cash Management items.
  • Conduct data analysis and reconciliation of data pertaining to payment applications.
  • Perform root cause analysis to minimize risk to the company.
  • Make individual fact-based decisions within authority level and perform research and remediation based on minimal data.
  • Ability to adjust and learn quickly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Graduate/GED required.
  • 1 years of related work experience; 2-4 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Strong accounting/mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with 10's and 100's preferred.
  • Data entry experience with quick and accurate typing skills.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge and ability to manipulate data.
  • Experience with banking software for depositing, posting, and balancing checks.
