Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our client and play a critical role in delivering customized, high-performance construction solutions. This fully onsite, permanent/direct-hire position based in Cincinnati, OH, is focused on developing comprehensive estimates for complex projects in highly regulated environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong cross-functional coordination skills and construction knowledge to support full project lifecycle estimating—from concept through certification.
Compensation:
- $90,000–$115,000 annually, depending on experience
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Estimator:
- Prepare turnkey project estimates covering materials and labor across structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing scopes
- Maintain and update estimates throughout budgeting and project lifecycle
- Draft architectural, structural, and ductwork sketches to aid in cost projections
- Calculate HVAC capacities with or without engineering team input
- Collaborate with internal departments, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and design professionals
- Develop scopes of work and review sales proposals
- Participate in drawing and estimate alignment meetings
- Assist with purchasing and vendor coordination during buyouts
- Create preliminary schedules and project booking documentation
- Estimate service agreements and support proposal development
- Participate in engineering and sales team coordination meetings
Qualifications and Skills for the Estimator:
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving and initiative
- Familiarity with general construction processes
- Experience using CAD and estimating software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Associate degree in a related field or a minimum of five years’ experience in construction estimating
