Job Title: Insurance Defense Legal Assistant

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Insurance Defense Legal Assistant  to join our client to support recovery efforts by uncovering critical facts, coordinating investigations, and strengthening litigation outcomes. This direct hire opportunity is based onsite in Philadelphia, PA and plays a key role in advancing insurance defense matters through detailed analysis and collaboration. The ideal candidate will balance investigative work with strong documentation and communication skills to help drive cases forward. This role offers exposure to hands-on fieldwork, legal strategy, and cross-functional teamwork.

Compensation:
$50,000 – $60,000/year

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours

Key Responsibilities of the Insurance Defense Legal Assistant:

• Conduct investigative research and fact-finding to support subrogation and claims recovery initiatives
• Participate in site visits and inspections alongside attorneys and investigators, including local travel during business hours
• Identify potentially liable third parties and prepare outreach and notice correspondence related to recovery efforts
• Coordinate inspections, evidence reviews, and examinations with experts, vendors, and legal teams
• Develop damage summaries, investigative reports, and case materials to support litigation strategies
• Maintain accurate, well-organized case files while managing multiple active matters and deadlines
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, insurers, and external partners to ensure timely case progression

Qualifications and Skills for the Insurance Defense Legal Assistant:

• At least two years of experience supporting civil litigation within insurance defense, or comparable legal experience with readiness to step into a paralegal role
• Strong investigative, analytical, and documentation skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Confident communicator who can interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and third-party experts
• Ability to manage a high volume of matters while maintaining accuracy and follow-through
• Paralegal certification preferred; a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience is required
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
