Job Title: Accounting Manager
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our client to guide day to day financial operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting across multiple entities. This role supports leadership by maintaining organized records, improving processes, and delivering insights that strengthen financial decision making. The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions, support compliance and audits, and help maintain smooth cash flow management. This is a contract to hire position based onsite in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Compensation:
$35.00 to $43.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:
• Oversee daily accounting activities, including the general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and reconciliations across several properties and funding sources
• Deliver clear and consistent financial reporting, support budget preparation, monitor grants, and assist with audit readiness
• Track cash flow needs, provide forecasting updates, and offer guidance on financial risks and trends
• Maintain insurance, loan documents, vendor files, and coordinate payment processing and compliance requests from external partners
• Strengthen internal controls, streamline procedures, organize documentation, and support ongoing operational improvements
Qualifications and Skills for the Accounting Manager:
• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, and equivalent professional experience is welcome
• Four to seven years of accounting experience, ideally with nonprofit or property management exposure
• Familiarity with nonprofit financial standards, grant tracking, and modern accounting and payroll systems such as ADP
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to manage priorities independently, communicate clearly, and collaborate with non financial staff
• High attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity in handling confidential financial information
