Payroll Specialist (Remote)
We are seeking a knowledgeable Payroll Specialist to join our client for a remote role (must live in eastern standard time)! The Payroll Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time. This exciting Temporary-to-Permanent opportunity is offering a range of $30-$32/HR!
Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist include:
- Processing payroll for employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records, including employee information, pay rates, and deductions.
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal payroll regulations.
- Answering employee questions related to pay and benefits.
- Preparing and distributing payroll reports to management.
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Assisting with year-end payroll reporting and tax filings.
- Updating and maintaining payroll systems and software.
- Monitoring payroll expenses and making recommendations for cost savings.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and procedures.
Requirements of the Payroll Specialist include:
- 3-5 years of payroll processing experience (multi-state)
- Proficient with ADP Payroll Software (ADP WFN).
- College degree is highly preferred
- Payroll certification is a plus
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
