Coordinator of Benefits Specialist
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Coordinator of Benefits Specialist to join our client for a remote opportunity (must be in MST or CST)! This position is primarily responsible for healthcare benefits examination. This temporary opportunity is offering $22/HR!
Responsibilities of the Coordinator of Benefits Specialist include:

Eligibility Verification: Review applications and supporting documents to verify eligibility for benefits, such as social assistance, disability benefits, unemployment benefits, or pension plans.

Benefit Determination: Evaluate eligibility criteria, program guidelines, and regulatory requirements to determine the amount and duration of benefits that an individual or group is entitled to receive.

Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with program rules, policies, and applicable laws, such as federal and state regulations governing benefit programs.

Communication: Communicate with applicants, beneficiaries, and relevant stakeholders to request additional information, explain benefit decisions, and address inquiries or concerns.

Decision Making: Analyze complex cases and apply judgment to make fair and accurate benefit determinations, considering individual circumstances and program guidelines.

Appeals Processing: Handle appeals and reconsiderations by reviewing additional evidence, conducting hearings, and making appropriate decisions in accordance with appeal procedures.

Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and organized records of applications, supporting documentation, benefit determinations, and any related correspondence.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, agencies, or organizations involved in benefit administration, such as human resources, legal teams, or social service providers.
Qualifications of the Coordinator of Benefits Specialist include:

High School Diploma required; Bachelors degree preferred

Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to benefit programs (e.g., Social Security Act, Medicare, the "Birthday Rule").

Knowledge of Javelina and GBASS preferred

Familiarity with different benefit programs, such as unemployment insurance, welfare programs, healthcare assistance, or retirement plans.

Attention to detail and accuracy in processing applications, verifying information, and making benefit determinations.

Problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to analyze complex cases and make appropriate benefit decisions.
