Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Purchasing and Inventory Representative to join our client in Bethesda, Maryland! The Purchasing and Inventory Representative is primarily responsible for shipping activities and handling over the counter orders. This Direct-Hire opportunity is offering $41,000-$46,000/year!

Responsibilities of the Purchasing and Inventory Representative include:
  • Receiving, stock keeping, picking, packing and shipping activities. Also is responsible for over-the-counter orders, and related quality assurance activities. Handle all incoming shipments of equipment, materials, and wire.
  • Perform verification of purchased products.
  • Place received products into proper warehouse storage locations. When appropriate, relocate and consolidate products and notify management of new bon/table locations.
  • Assist to pull, pack, weigh, and label products for shipment.
  • Assist Cycle Counts of physical inventory. Provide inventory control reports as required.
  • Issue products to technicians as required.
  • Research and compare suppliers/vendors (pricing, quality)
  • Manage and execute purchase orders (company’s software: Infor-ISM).
  • Track back orders.
  • Reach out to vendors when needed.
  • Review invoices and approve payment.
  • Collaborate to ship out regional –OOT- work orders.
  • Manage and process RMA’s and Inventory Returns.
  • Continually survey and communicate product availability details to purchasing manager and sales/installation managers.
  • Develop and optimize vendors.
  • Collaborate to develop purchasing strategies with purchasing manager.

Qualifications of the Purchasing and Inventory Representative include:
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills with employees and clients.
  • Minimum Education Requirements: Associated Degree diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Software Technician, or a related field required.
  • Experience Required: At least two years of data entry.
  • Experience Required: At least two years of purchasing experience required.
  • Experience Required: At least two years of Inventory experience required.
  • Be able to lift 30 pounds and can stand and bend multiple times, daily.
  • Knowledge of Automated purchasing and inventory systems. Company’s software: Infor-ISM.
  • Knowledge of Inventory control Techniques and analysis.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
