As a Claims Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality service delivery for various types of assignments, including mitigation (water, mold, fire, tarping, board-up, emergency repairs), contents, large loss fire, time and materials, and reconstruction. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct precise and timely estimate and documentation reviews using cutting-edge technology platforms such as XactAnalysis, Symbility, CMS, and others.
  • Uphold accuracy, speed, and a focus on exceptional customer service in all reviews.
  • Perform estimate and documentation reviews for various assignment types, including mitigation, contents, large losses, time and materials, and reconstruction.
  • Apply your knowledge of industry standards, carrier guidelines, and best practices to meet and exceed carrier service level agreements.
  • Engage in direct communication with franchisees and insurance carriers to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Maintain communication through multiple channels, including inbound and outbound phone calls, claim management system notes, email, MS Teams, and other relevant applications.
  • Coach franchise partners to enhance their estimating and documentation performance.
  • Identify and communicate trends to Team Managers, participating in escalations as needed.
  • Provide guidance to franchises regarding estimating requirements and claim expectations, based on carrier guidelines.
  • Offer support for technical claim inquiries using estimating/claim management platforms.
  • Contribute to improving the scorecard performance and job acquisition for the franchise network and carrier partners.
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in insurance claims or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in insurance estimation principles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in contracting and/or field work for a specific trade.
  • Proficiency in using a laptop and related accessories.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Forms, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Thorough understanding of the insurance industry, including mitigation, contents, and reconstruction concepts and terminology.
  • Strong assertive and professional communication skills, adaptable to various contexts (both verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology applications and creating new documents.
  • Ability to independently problem-solve, resolve conflicts, and effectively manage priorities.
  • Familiarity with estimating platforms such as Xactware Products, Symbility, and other estimating software.
  • Knowledge of estimating principles within the insurance industry.
