Responsibilities of the Claims Estimator:
- Write and finalize accurate and timely estimates using technology platforms like XactAnalysis, Symbility, CMS, and others.
- Focus on accuracy, speed, and customer service in completing estimates.
- Handle estimating for mitigation assignments, including water, mold, tarping, board-up, and emergency services.
- Utilize industry standards, carrier guidelines, and best practices to ensure adherence to carrier service level agreements.
- Communicate directly with franchisees and insurance carriers to meet Service Level Agreement requirements through various communication channels.
- Coach franchises on improving their estimating and documentation performance.
- Identify and communicate trends to Team Managers, Account Managers, and Regional Business Consultants.
- Provide assistance to franchises regarding estimating requirements and claim expectations based on carrier guidelines.
- Support technical claim inquiries across estimating/claim management platforms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Claims Estimator:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in insurance claims or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with estimation principles in the insurance industry.
- Proficiency in using a laptop and related accessories.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Forms, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, including mitigation, contents, and reconstruction concepts and terminology.
- Assertive and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, adaptable to the context.
- Proficiency in using technology applications and creating new documents.
- Ability to independently problem solve, resolve conflicts, and manage priorities.
- Knowledge of estimating platforms such as Xactware Products, Symbility, and other estimating software.
- Knowledge of estimating principles for the insurance industry.
