Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Customer Service Agent to join our client in Houston, TX for a hybrid opportunity! The Customer Service Agent is primarily responsible for answering and satisfying inbound customer calls in a high-volume environment; assist customers with placing orders; contact customers about orders; and assist with special projects, as needed. This Contract opportunity is offering $20/HR!

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Agent include:
  • Enter phone orders quickly and accurately.
  • Ensure that the employee's DLD, shipping address, part numbers, logos and order type is correct;
  • Check customer allowance balances and verify the information is correct.
  • Troubleshoot allowance problems and escalate to the Customer Service Manager when necessary;
  • Handle catalog requests and send to the appropriate person;
  • Process Rush and Same Day order requests;
  • Answer inquiries regarding delivery dates, backordered items and track customer shipments if necessary;
  • Assist customers in selecting appropriate merchandise;
  • Transfer calls to the appropriate department as required, or contact other departments to obtain information to questions you cannot answer;
  • Clearly communicate issues that you cannot solve to the Customer Service Manager in a timely manner;
  • Work with team members well and communicate with them effectively;
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned;

Requirements of the Customer Service Agent:
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively build rapport with customers;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, and the ability to multi-task;
  • Strong computer skills;
  • Action-orientation;
  • Ability to learn quickly;
  • Bi-lingual skills a plus;
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;
  • A minimum of one -three years prior Inbound Customer Service Call experience strongly preferred.
