Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our client for a hybrid opportunity in Philadelphia, PA! The Bankruptcy Paralegal is primarily responsible for assisting attorneys in handling bankruptcy cases by preparing legal documents, conducting research, communicating with clients and creditors, and managing case files. This contract opportunity is offering $33-$35.57/HR!
Responsibilities of the Bankruptcy Paralegal include:

Prepare bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other legal documents.

Review and proofread documents for accuracy and completeness.

Ensure all required forms are filed with the appropriate bankruptcy court.

Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documents.

Provide updates on case progress and answer client inquiries.
-
Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
-
Conduct legal research related to bankruptcy laws and regulations.
-
Analyze financial statements, assets, and liabilities of clients.
-
Stay up-to-date on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations.
-
Electronically file bankruptcy documents with the appropriate courts.

Track filing deadlines and ensure all documents are submitted on time.

Serve notices and documents to relevant parties as required.

Maintain organized and detailed case files.
-
Schedule and manage appointments and court appearances for attorneys.
-
Prepare attorneys for meetings, hearings, and court proceedings.
-
Communicate with creditors and debtors regarding bankruptcy proceedings.
-
Negotiate payment plans or settlements on behalf of clients, when applicable.
-
Assist attorneys with administrative tasks, such as billing and timekeeping.

Manage and update bankruptcy databases and software systems.
-
Handle correspondence and mail related to bankruptcy cases.
-
Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards in bankruptcy practice.

Maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct in all interactions.
Requirements of the Bankruptcy Paralegal include:

2-3 years of experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal

CM-ECF Federal Filing experience
-
Document preparation and petition experience
-
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures.
-
Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.

Delaware Bankruptcy & Chapter 11 experience

Associate degree or certification in paralegal studies preferred.
