Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our client in Malvern, PA for a hybrid opportunity! This Contract-to-Hire opportunity is offering $30/HR!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Bi-weekly Payroll Processing: Take a pivotal role in processing bi-weekly payroll for both exempt and non-exempt team members across multiple states. This includes meticulously auditing time import files, ensuring payroll balance, researching discrepancies, and contributing to the preparation of the payroll review package.
  • Provide Teammate Support: Act as the initial point of contact for team members' inquiries related to payroll, paid time off, and time & attendance. Prioritize delivering exceptional service to ensure team members receive prompt and accurate assistance.
  • Manage Payroll Transactions: Execute workflows to guarantee the precise and timely processing of all payroll transactions. Maintain strict accuracy standards throughout the process.
  • Handle Payroll Garnishments: Collaborate with agencies and our payroll service provider to process teammate payroll garnishments accurately and efficiently. Resolve any issues that may arise during this process.
  • Stay Informed on Payroll Regulations: Keep abreast of federal, state, and local payroll administration laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Administer Miscellaneous Payments: Responsible for administering various payments within the payroll system, including commissions, stock transactions, dividend payments, adjusted overtime, and manual checks.
  • Address Garnishment and Withholding Queries: Promptly respond to inquiries regarding garnishments or payroll withholdings, offering clear and informative assistance.
  • Support Audits: Assist in conducting routine audits, including Financial Audit, Pension, and Workmen’s Comp Audit, ensuring accurate and complete records.
  • Collaborate on Projects: Participate in related projects and provide administrative support to the Payroll and Shared Services team as required.
  • Contribute to Departmental Initiatives: Engage in additional departmental projects as delegated, demonstrating your commitment to the client's exceptional customer service standards.

Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma is a minimum requirement, with an Associate degree being preferred.
  • Experience: Possess one to two years of payroll processing experience, ideally in a high-volume environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Be adept in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and preferably, the Ultimate Software HRIS system.
  • Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Display a commitment to efficiency, quality, and consistency while prioritizing outstanding customer service. Exhibit the ability to handle sensitive and confidential team member issues with tact and professionalism. Additionally, prove your capacity to interact and foster relationships with team members at all organizational levels.
