Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Customer Care Representative to join our client for a hybrid position in Philadelphia, PA! Working with minimal supervision, the Customer Care Representative interprets existing policy provisions and communicates essential information to Agents, Policyholders, Employees, and Claimants via telephone communication. This role involves addressing inquiries related to policy coverage, premiums, status, and current company procedures. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity is offering $19/HR!

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently handle customer complaints and inquiries while maintaining a high standard of courtesy.
  • Provide comprehensive information on active insurance products to Agents, Policyholders, and Employees in easily understandable terms.
  • Resolve a wide range of customer issues, demonstrating effective problem-solving skills.
  • Offer clear and concise guidance on complex problems requiring extensive research beyond the scope of a Representative.
  • Maintain a detailed log of incoming calls from customers and field personnel.
  • Ensure the satisfactory resolution of problems and requests by diligently following up.
  • Engage in proactive communication with Policyholders and Agents regarding policy changes.
  • Undertake specific projects related to policy management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address customer service challenges.
  • Possess expertise in managing address and correspondent changes.
  • Explain electronic billing and guide customers on how to download free upgrades or enroll online.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with a relevant Associate's Degree highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in bilingual communication (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a high-volume service environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Group Administration, Individual Administration, and basic claim processing.
  • Exceptional judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exemplary telephone etiquette and outstanding communication skills to address customer complaints and problems promptly and courteously.
  • Ability to interpret Group and Annuity insurance contracts.
  • Strong follow-through and organizational skills.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with highly developed time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficient in handling challenging callers with finesse.
  • Effective in a multitasking, team-oriented environment.
  • Competent in using personal computers, Windows, and Excel.
