Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client in Camden, NJ for a hybrid opportunity! The Staff Accountant, reporting to the Controller/CFO, plays a key role in handling various financial tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting and financial regulations. This position involves a range of responsibilities, including payroll processing, reconciliation, invoicing, and supporting general accounting functions. This Direct-Hire opportunity is offering an annual salary of $50,000-$60,000!

Responsibilities:

Process payroll within ADP, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
Adhere to relevant tax and labor laws while managing payroll responsibilities.
Regularly reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy.
Identify and address any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Invoice customers and proactively follow up on outstanding payments.
Maintain accurate records of invoicing and payment activities.
Complete timely and accurate reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and related schedules.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
Review expense reimbursements for accuracy and compliance with reimbursement policies.
Assist with Fixed Asset maintenance and reconciliation processes.
Prepare journal entries as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
Cross-train with team members and share efficiencies across the accounting team.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
Provide ad-hoc financial data as needed to support audits and other requests.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
2-3 years of professional experience in payroll processing and invoicing.
High proficiency in Excel and other relevant accounting software.
Detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Strong knowledge of relevant tax laws, labor laws, and accounting principles.
