Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our client for a hybrid opportunity in Exton, PA! This position involves close collaboration with management and encompasses various responsibilities related to accounting operations for the business unit. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in project accounting, accounts payable, payroll, month-end closing processes, and the preparation of financial statements. This Direct-Hire opportunity is offering an annual salary of $70,000-$75,000!

Job Responsibilities:
  • Execute project management reporting for the business unit, including:
  • Handling all aspects of Project Accounting from project setup and maintenance.
  • Reviewing and adjusting time and expense charges.
  • Managing revenue recognition and billings.
  • Performing WIP analysis and reconciliation.
  • Conducting AR reconciliation and collections.
  • Maintain accurate books and records of the Company.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and journal entries during the monthly close process.
  • Assist in analyzing monthly financials.
  • Generate a comprehensive monthly reporting package.
  • Ensure appropriate approvals for all received invoices.
  • Charge expenses to accounts, analyze invoices, and record entries.
  • Correspond with vendors, update vendor profiles, and process vendor checks.
  • Follow established payroll procedures to ensure timely and accurate payment for employees.
  • Perform timecard review and extraction from the time and attendance application, ensuring accurate recording of time and the use of appropriate pay codes.
  • Process weekly payroll.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with computerized ledger systems.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Effective team player with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Paylocity and NetSuite is a plus.
