This role involves overseeing cash management internal controls, conducting monthly bank reconciliations, processing journal entries, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity is offering $31.73-$33.65/HR!
Key Responsibilities:

Uphold effective internal controls for cash management.

Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for all cash accounts; submit for managerial review.

Record monthly accounts receivable entries, posting cash receipts; submit for managerial review.

Prepare invoices for miscellaneous contracts, recording associated receivables in the general ledger; submit for managerial review.

Develop and submit monthly journal entries for managerial review; post entries upon approval.

Perform monthly analysis of the statement of activities, resolving coding and other errors.

Manage, organize, and compile Resource Sharing Agreement (RSA) information for the CareerLink system.

Review and analyze monthly RSA operating activity for accuracy and proper accounting; adjust as necessary.

Compile the monthly Grant Summary Report; review and submit for managerial review.

Prepare Operating expenditures for monthly reporting to the Commonwealth.

Compile Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) invoice from the general ledger; submit for managerial review.

Prepare Operating expenditures workpapers for monthly draw process.
-
Analyze balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies; submit for managerial review.

Compile monthly organization Financial Statements; review and correct errors; submit for managerial review.

Compile and analyze monthly Departmental Monthly Reports; resolve errors and submit for managerial review.

Manage administrative contracts, ensuring proper execution, processing, recording, and filing; process invoices for payment.

Serve as backup for payroll processing and journal entries.

Assist in preparing support documents for audits and monitoring visits.

Perform other assigned job-related duties.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of 4 years of advanced-level accounting or auditing experience.

MIP or comparable accounting software experience required.

Experience in a non-profit accounting environment for Federal/State, Grants, and Contracts preferred.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

Ability to prepare complex and detailed financial data analysis.

Deadline-oriented with proficiency in electronic spreadsheets and computerized accounting systems.

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of effective interaction with staff, subcontractors, vendors, and government agencies.
