Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Cargo Adjuster to join our client for a remote opportunity! As a Commercial Lines Cargo Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to 150 pending claims, which may involve varying levels of complexity. The primary focus will be on establishing facts of loss, conducting coverage analysis, investigating claims, determining compensability/liability/negligence, coordinating medical care as needed, managing litigation, assessing damages, negotiating settlements, and identifying potential fraud. This Contract opportunity offers up to $31/HR!

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain current claim metrics to ensure effective claims management.
  • Handle a caseload of up to 150 pending claims with varying levels of complexity.
  • Establish facts of loss, conduct coverage analysis, and determine compensability/liability/negligence.
  • Coordinate medical care when necessary and manage litigation processes.
  • Assess damages, negotiate settlements, and identify potential fraud.
  • Conduct timely and appropriate reserve analysis.
  • Attend conferences, client meetings, and provide mentorship to other adjusters.
  • Assist management as requested and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Handle all file management within state statutes, Client Claims Handling Guidelines, and the client’s Best Practices.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-year degree or higher preferred.
  • 2 to 7 years of prior claim adjusting experience or completion of the NARS Claims Trainee program.
  • Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Florida Adjuster’s license or other required jurisdictional licensing.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to direct litigation.
  • Interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain and respond appropriately to auditors, clients, and potential clients during presentations.
