Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our client for a hybrid opportunity in Philadelphia, PA! The Payroll Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of company payroll and payroll taxes within a confidential environment. Operating primarily through the Paycom payroll system, this role provides support to employees and managers across various departments, offering clarity on processes and seeking opportunities to enhance value. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers $60,000-$85,000/year based on experience!

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately and timely process weekly payroll transactions using the Paycom payroll system.
  • Input and maintain employee time and attendance data from TLO into the payroll system.
  • Participate in year-end payroll tasks such as tax rate changes, W-2 generation, etc.
  • Set up new employees in Paycom and verify tax setup to ensure compliance.
  • Reconcile a wide range of personnel actions and payroll documents.
  • Perform payroll verifications and certifications as required.
  • Collaborate with employees and managers to resolve payroll-related inquiries.
  • Generate certified payroll reports and ad hoc reports upon request.
  • Set up state taxes and other state-specific accounts for operating companies.
  • Reconcile any tax discrepancies with employees, state and local agencies, and the Paycom system.
  • Maintain confidentiality within the department.
  • Reconcile 401K deductions and submit payroll changes to Empower.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in general accounting principles.
  • Advanced data analysis skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
