Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Collateral Specialist to join our client in Marlton, NJ! The Collateral Specialist plays a crucial role within the Collateral department, collaborating with document custodians, legal counsel, and in-house servicing to ensure the secure movement, storage, and verification of collateral files. The role involves compliance with company, state, and investor guidelines. This Contract opportunity offers $18.50/HR!

Essential Job Functions:
  • Receive, sort, file, and ship collateral.
  • Safeguard original loan collateral documents in fireproof file cabinets.
  • Verify the presence of all collateral documents, auditing for original vs. copies.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness in tracking systems (e.g., Lakewood, Fiserv, CTS).
  • Submit requests for copies and original files to custodians within specified timelines.
  • Generate file manifests listing each document/file upon receipt and release.
  • Maintain organizational skills for filing returned documents promptly and accurately.
  • Gather information and pull required collateral documents/files for upcoming transfers/sales.
  • Establish effective working relationships with relevant contacts.
  • Perform inventory checks of collateral files to ensure safekeeping of original documents.
  • Assist with various requests to/from document custodians.
  • Scan and upload collateral documents to the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Skills and Experience:
  • Strong customer service abilities are a must.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Professional, and Outlook.
