Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist is join our client Somerset, NJ! The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing support in various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and employee engagement activities. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers an annual salary range of $65,000-$75,000/year based on experience!

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the recruitment process for hourly positions, from sourcing candidates to facilitating the hiring process.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to determine staffing needs and job requirements.
  • Conduct interviews and assess candidates' qualifications.
  • Ensure timely completion of hiring processes to meet organizational needs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries.
  • Handle employment-related issues, including disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
  • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding benefits administration.
  • Develop content and manage all HR department social media platforms and campaigns.
  • Keep social media platforms updated with relevant content and announcements.
  • Assist in developing and distributing employee communication messages through social media channels.
  • Assist HR Manager in organizing and managing employee activity events.
  • Coordinate logistics and ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Promote employee engagement and morale through various activities and events.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Previous experience working in a union environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HR disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, and employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS software.
