Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our client in Wayne, PA! The Payroll Accountant will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting leadership with confidential projects. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers an annual salary of $70,000-$80,000/year!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee bi-weekly and weekly payroll processing for all employees.
  • Manage tax and withholding records and deductions for federal, state, and local taxes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting based on regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain cash management for the organization.
  • Coordinate worker’s compensation billing processing and uploads.
  • Facilitate benefits billing process and uploads.
  • Prepare and submit EEO-1 data and reporting.
  • Communicate payroll and tax changes or updates to employees and management.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as per reporting calendars.
  • Prepare benefits allocations and process payments.
  • Assist with audits and confidential projects as needed.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • May assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll accounting, auditing, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce Now).
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
