Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster to join our client for a remote opportunity! Your primary duties will include establishing facts of loss, coverage analysis, investigation, compensability/liability/negligence determination, coordination of medical care (as appropriate), litigation management, damage assessment, settlement negotiations, identifying potential fraud, and appropriate use of authorized vendors. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers an annual salary up to $90,000/year!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify, analyze, and confirm coverage for claims.

Make initial contact with parties and clients within eight business hours.

Contact appropriate parties and providers to determine liability, compensability, negligence, and subrogation potential.

Continuously communicate with involved parties throughout the life of the claim.

Assist in training and mentoring Claims Adjusters.

Refer files with subrogation potential to the subrogation department.

Maintain a closing ratio as directed by management.

Verify loss facts and pertinent claims information.

Identify settlement cases, request authority, and negotiate settlements.

Evaluate and negotiate liens.

Identify and report potential fraud cases.

Develop and direct litigation plans with defense attorneys.

Ensure timely completion of all filings and state-mandated forms.

Review and document responses to litigation-related activities.

Direct defense counsel on litigated files and attend mediations and trials as required.

Establish ultimate reserves and monitor for adjustments.

Ensure timely payment of all known benefits.
Qualification Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree or higher preferred.

7+ years of prior claims adjusting experience.
- 7+ years of heavy litigation experience (except Worker’s Compensation).
- 5+ years of Construction Defect or similar/related experience if handling that line of business.
- NY active license.

Eligible for reserve/payment authority level of $50,000+.

Must possess or have the ability to obtain relevant adjuster licenses.

Ability to negotiate claims and direct litigation.

Ability to respond to auditors, clients, and potential clients during presentations.
