Contemporary staffing Solutions is seeking a highly organized and experienced Transportation Claims Unit Manager to join our client for a remote opportunity! The Unit Manager will lead a team of Bodily Injury and Property Damage Claims Adjusters in our client’s Commercial Trucking division. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers $100,000-$120,000/year based on experience!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise a unit of 5-8 claims professionals and manage their respective caseloads in a proactive manner.

Ensure compliance with all file handling standards, NARS Best Practices, and state statutes to pass audits performed by regulatory agencies, carriers, and clients.

Uphold strict confidentiality of client, company, and personnel information.

Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance to meet company objectives.

Review and respond to claim appeals, grievances, and complaints.

Lead by example to foster a culture of service and continuous improvement.

Provide leadership to achieve key business goals and objectives.

Assign accountability for desired outcomes and ensure adherence to deadlines.

Communicate clearly and provide adequate direction to team members.

Track trends within the program and unit, and possess a comprehensive understanding of the team's claims.

Develop expertise in clients' claims and confidently discuss them when required.

Manage corrective action processes in accordance with Human Resource guidelines.
Qualification Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree or higher preferred.

7+ years of overall claims and litigation experience, preferably in commercial trucking.

Preferred 2+ years of Claims Supervisory experience or related experience.

Claims designation (AIC, ARM, CPCU, SCLA, or similar) preferred.

Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Florida Adjuster’s license or other required jurisdictional licensing.

Advanced interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

Proficiency in providing litigation direction and settlement negotiations.

Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in analyzing claims data and presenting findings.

Advanced knowledge of various computer software applications, including Microsoft Office.
