Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client in Philadelphia, PA 19107! The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers $20-$30/Hour!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process all vendor invoices and check requests promptly and accurately.
  • Match approved purchase orders to vendor invoices and verify proper documentation.
  • Prepare weekly check runs for payments to vendors.
  • Maintain records of all purchases made on company credit cards.
  • Reconcile outstanding checks and file unclaimed property reports as required.
  • Review general ledger accounts in preparation for month-end.
  • Prepare Accounts Payable financials by reviewing check registers, wire transactions, and deposits.
  • Update cash flow book as necessary.
  • Prepare data for monthly sales & use tax filing for specified states.
  • Organize records for leases and ensure proper billing.
  • Request bids from companies for pricing of goods and services.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Five (5) years of related experience in accounts payable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Intacct Accounting Software preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with Sales & Use Tax Filing and Unclaimed Property Filing preferred.
