Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to join our client in Phoenix, AZ! The Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for managing the accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of fixed assets, including tangible and intangible assets, within the client’s organization. This Contract opportunity offers $35-$43/Hour based one experience!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, document, and report capital expenditures to ensure accurate financial recording.
  • Record fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in the accounting system, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager/Owner to track project costs and determine project completion for proper fixed asset accounting.
  • Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Maintain a detailed schedule of fixed assets, disposals, additions, depreciation expense, and accumulated depreciation for accurate financial reporting.
  • Record fixed asset disposals and relieve related debt where applicable, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide reports related to fixed assets as requested by management and assist auditors with inquiries by preparing audit schedules.
  • Track and report company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management approvals.
  • Prepare and file property tax schedules, as well as rental tax forms, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Maintain detailed reporting of intangible assets and amortize monthly for accurate financial reporting.
  • Record leases, amortize in the accounting system, monitor lease deposits, and manage lease terms to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required. Associate's Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree a plus.
  • 1 to 3 years of similar or related experience required. 1+ years of fixed asset, lease accounting, and personal property and TPT tax experience required.
  • Proficiency in office suite software (e.g., Microsoft Office Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), accounting system software (e.g., Prologue, Coupa, Adaptive Insights). Strong analytical, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, time management, organization, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must comply with all company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
  • Flexibility to perform additional duties or take on additional responsibilities as requested by supervisor.
