Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a competent and organized Legal Secretary to join our client in Philadelphia, PA! As a Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our law firm/legal department by assisting with document preparation, scheduling, correspondence, and client communication. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers $35-$40/Hour based on experience!
Responsibilities:

Draft and meticulously proofread a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, contracts, and correspondence.

Organize and maintain both physical and electronic files, ensuring proper indexing and filing of documents for easy retrieval.

Efficiently schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings for attorneys, while meticulously maintaining their calendars.

Professionally handle phone calls, take detailed messages, and liaise with clients to schedule appointments or relay messages to attorneys promptly.

Conduct thorough legal research using online databases or libraries to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy.

Assist with billing, timekeeping, and expense reports to ensure accurate record-keeping. Handle incoming and outgoing mail efficiently.

Prepare and file legal documents with courts, ensuring compliance with all procedural requirements, including electronic filings where applicable.

Skillfully transcribe dictation or recorded meetings and hearings into accurate written documents.

Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for attorneys attending out-of-town meetings or court appearances, ensuring smooth logistics.

Uphold the highest level of confidentiality regarding all client and case information, maintaining strict adherence to ethical standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications:

A minimum of 3 years of legal experience.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, iManage, and E-filing preferred.

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work well under pressure.

Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.

Discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information.

A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.

Background in any of the following areas preferred: subrogation, commercial litigation, workers' compensation, general litigation, IP and product liability.
