Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our client for a hybrid opportunity in Philadelphia, PA! The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all company employees. This role involves managing payroll data, addressing payroll-related inquiries, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing support for other payroll-related tasks. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers $19-$22/Hour!
Key Responsibilities:

Collect and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other payroll data.

Enter and process payroll information using the company's payroll system.

Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions.

Process payroll adjustments, such as retroactive payments, tax withholdings, and wage garnishments.

Maintain and update employee payroll records.

Ensure payroll data integrity and confidentiality.

Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements.

Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Assist in preparing and filing payroll tax returns and other regulatory reports.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and discrepancies.

Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.

Resolve payroll-related issues promptly and professionally.

Work closely with the HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Coordinate with external vendors, such as benefits providers and tax agencies.

Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.

Participate in payroll system upgrades and implementation projects.
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or related field.

Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
