Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client for a remote opportunity! The Staff Accountant will support the department by preparing and posting general ledger journal entries, conducting month-end reconciliations, and contributing to special projects as required. This Contract opportunity offers $32-34/Hour!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update financial records by accurately computing, classifying, and recording data.
  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries.
  • Conduct month-end reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Assist in various accounting projects and tasks as needed.
  • Maintain and manage supplier records to facilitate the issuance of weekly payments.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the accounting function.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable, billing, and general ledger management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient computation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; knowledge of Oracle, SAP, or similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
