Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to join our client for an onsite opportunity in Hayward, CA! The Pharmacist in Charge will oversee the overall management of the Pharmacy, ensuring the staff completes professional assignments effectively. This Direct-Hire opportunity is offering up to $170,000/year!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct pharmacy operations to ensure smooth and effective functionality.
  • Demonstrate understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations, practices, and procedures comply with local, state, and federal licensing and standards requirements.
  • Provide and oversee compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services prescribed by physicians or other authorized medical personnel.
  • Prepare prescriptions, solutions, and medications accurately and promptly.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patient, drug, and disease information to identify potential or existing drug-related issues.
  • Develop and revise patient care plans.
  • Prepare formulations for solutions and medications, ensuring their accuracy.
  • Oversee the work of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns.
  • Participate in the preparation, distribution, security, and maintenance of controlled substances.
  • Interface with physicians and referral sources as needed.
  • Serve as a drug information resource to the sales team and participate in team selling and sales support.
  • Participate in and maintain an on-call schedule for pharmacists and provide coverage as necessary.
  • Manage direct reports, including hiring, training, conducting meetings, addressing performance issues, and approving payroll.

Requirements:
  • Specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience required
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) professional degree
  • Applicable state licensure in good standing
  • Minimum 7 years of Pharmacist experience, preferably with direct compounding experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
