Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a Cash Applications Analyst to join our client for a hybrid role in Philadelphia, PA! The Cash Applications Analyst is responsible for accurately identifying and applying premium and non-premium payments using established procedures and ensuring the integrity of data. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers $20.50/Hour!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately identify, input, and research premium and non-premium payments using various systems.
  • Perform cross-checks to ensure data quality and integrity, adhering to MAR and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Billing, and Accounts Receivable for proper payment allocation and reconciliation.
  • Build relationships with external partners, including bank vendors, to resolve payment issues.
  • Manage payment research and application within deadlines to meet SLAs, including preparing and batching incoming mail.
  • Ensure timely application of payments from daily exception reports, especially during peak periods.
  • Complete daily reconciliation of premium receipts and resolve variances.
  • Understand payment adjustments and their customer impact.
  • Research and respond to inquiries per internal SLAs.
  • Propose, develop, and implement process improvements.
  • Proactively resolve exceptions and participate in projects as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by business needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in accounting, billing, accounts payable, payment processing, or related fields.
  • Up to 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Active engagement in team collaboration for daily tasks, problem resolution, and strategic planning.
  • Analytical skills to draw logical conclusions and identify root causes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
