Controller

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Controller to join our client for a direct hire, hybrid opportunity in Haddonfield, NJ! As the Controller, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing accounting processes, ensuring compliance, analyzing financial performance, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth and operational objectives. This role offers $90,000-180,000/year depending on experience plus bonus opportunities!

Responsibilities of the Controller Include:

• Develop, implement, and manage accounting processes to align with strategic goals and support company growth.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including billing, receivables, payables, and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and present insights to senior management for decision-making.
• Manage tax matters, expense allocation, and ensure timely compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Optimize the use of ERP systems, maintain banking relationships, and support special projects as needed.

Requirements of the Controller:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting with 1-2 years of experience as a Controller in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA certification preferred or in progress, with strong proficiency in MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to work collaboratively and meet departmental goals.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
• Experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry and familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
