Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge to join our client in Hoover, AL! This role involves sterile compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and pharmacy practice standards. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers up to $130,000-$140,000/year!

- Perform compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring as prescribed by authorized medical personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
- Provide direct supervision to pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Coordinate pharmacy services with nursing, intake/admissions, reimbursement, sales, and marketing teams to enhance patient outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Actively participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new pharmacy staff and may serve as a preceptor for pharmacy interns.
- Serve as a clinical resource for the Sales and Marketing teams, assisting with customer presentations and reviewing marketing materials.
- Adhere to procurement and inventory control procedures to ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with corporate clinical services and may participate in product selection committees as needed.
- Ensure pharmacy dispensing processes comply with insurance authorization procedures and provide documentation support for reimbursement teams during audits.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide continuous pharmacy support services.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, including those required for compliance with state and federal controlled substances reporting.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty pharmacy or home infusion.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Active and unrestricted state pharmacy license.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Pharmacist, with experience in sterile compounding.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
