Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a Collections Representative to join our client for a remote opportunity (must be located within 50 miles of Philadelphia, PA)! The Collections Representative will be responsible for reaching out to older accounts to offer flexible payment plans and assist in securing payments on overdue balances. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers up to $17.50/Hour!

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Send customized letters to debtors to encourage payment on delinquent accounts and confirm payment arrangements.
  • Contact students and co-makers via telephone to discuss overdue payments, offer flexible payment options, and request payment.
  • Clearly explain the terms of the enrollment agreement and related documents to students and co-makers.
  • Record and update information regarding the financial status of customers and the progress of collection efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records in the collection system, reflecting all actions and results.
  • Notify co-signers of their obligations in cases where the primary debtor refuses to pay.
  • Follow up regularly to ensure timely payments and resolve any payment issues.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of collections experience.
  • At least 1 year of remote work experience.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and financial agreements.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to handle instructions in various formats (written, oral, or diagram) and apply common sense to solve problems.
  • Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
