Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a skilled Legal Billing Specialist to join our client for a hybrid opportunity in Wilmington, DE! As the Legal Billing Specialist, you will handle the complete billing cycle, working closely with attorneys and other team members. This Direct-Hire opportunity offers $60,000-$65,000/year!

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the monthly billing cycle for assigned attorneys, ensuring deadlines and client requirements are met.
  • Prepare and adjust time and cost entries as requested by billing attorneys.
  • Manage the full e-billing process, including setting up new clients and timekeepers, monitoring approvals, addressing invoice rejections, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Generate paper invoices when needed.
  • Respond to billing-related inquiries from internal and external clients.
  • Regularly update work-in-progress (WIP) and accounts receivable (A/R) statuses.
  • Coordinate with attorneys on client budgets and accruals, ensuring accurate and timely information is shared with clients.
  • Implement complex billing and rate structures.
  • Develop customized reports to support billing activities.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in legal billing.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and billing practices.
  • Familiarity with e-billing platforms and major e-billing vendors.
  • Experience with LEDES billing formats is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general technical aptitude.
  • Experience with Elite 3E or similar billing systems is a plus.
  • A college degree is preferred, but relevant work experience may be considered.
