Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a Senior Assumptions Processor to join our client in Ewing, NJ! The Senior Assumptions Processor is responsible for evaluating assumption applications to determine eligibility based on investor guidelines, including those from VA, FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and private investors. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers $27-$30/Hour!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the main contact for borrowers, applicants, and clients, managing communication throughout the assumption process.
  • Review and assess assumption applications for eligibility based on investor and client guidelines.
  • Guide applicants through the process, setting clear expectations for documentation, timelines, and underwriting requirements.
  • Ensure applications are complete, gathering any missing documentation.
  • Prepare and send necessary disclosures and submit completed applications to underwriting.
  • Stay updated on investor guidelines and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Pull credit reports, property reports, and verify employment as needed.
  • Assist in developing and updating policies, identify process improvements, and train new processors.
  • Maintain NMLS certification and assess risks to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of loan processing or origination experience.
  • Strong knowledge of investor guidelines (FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and lead effectively.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with mortgage processing software, Calyx preferred.
