Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a Special Products Compliance Specialist join our client in Ewing, NJ! The Special Products Compliance Specialist is responsible for overseeing the post-closing review of formal files and release of liability documents to ensure compliance with state, federal, and investor guidelines. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers $27-$30/Hour!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of assumption disclosures (LE, CD, ECOA, Credit Score Disclosure, etc.) before mailing, while monitoring timely task completion and underwriting decisions.
  • Perform monthly audits of formal and release of liability files to ensure compliance with state, federal, and investor guidelines.
  • Update and maintain assumption guidelines in line with industry standards.
  • Assist management with regulatory changes, developing processes, and educating staff on compliance updates.
  • Present compliance findings in monthly meetings, analyze data trends, and provide feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, investors, and relevant parties regarding compliance matters.
  • Respond to assumption audits and adjust processes as needed.
  • Assess risks related to compliance and operations to ensure adherence to legal standards.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred).
  • 2+ years of underwriting experience, with at least 2 years working on assumptions.
  • Proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet management.
  • Strong understanding of compliance regulations under ECOA, TILA, and SCRA.
  • Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
