Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our client for a direct hire opportunity in Jacksonville, FL! As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting, budgeting, fiscal compliance, and financial reporting to support the organization's mission and advocacy efforts. This role starts at $90,000/year based on experience!

Responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Include:

• Lead the development and management of the organization's annual budget, financial strategy, and reporting to support operational and programmatic goals.
• Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, cash receipts, general ledger, and financial audits, ensuring regulatory and GAAP compliance.
• Manage grant compliance, reporting, and budgeting for government, corporate, and foundation grants, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Supervise accounting staff, fostering professional development and enhancing internal systems to support efficient financial operations.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align financial strategy with organizational goals and optimize financial performance.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of finance experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector, with expertise in accounting, auditing, and financial system implementation.
• Proven experience managing financial functions including accounting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance in multi-office environments.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred, with strong skills in budgeting software and database management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage confidential information.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with grants management and MIP Sage/Abila is a plus.
