Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collections Analyst to join our client in Bethesda, MD! The individual in this role will focus on managing and reducing outstanding customer balances through effective communication and relationship-building. This permanent opportunity offers $24-$25/Hour and is eligible for overtime!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contact clients to discuss overdue accounts via phone, email, or other communication methods.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales or operations, to resolve billing discrepancies and account issues.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring regular follow-up and resolution of payment issues.
  • Reconcile customer disputes related to payments, balances, or account adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, including payment plans, communications, and resolved issues.
  • Generate reports on account status and collections progress to provide actionable insights for management.
  • Provide high-quality customer service by addressing client inquiries, processing refunds, and resolving short payments.
  • Prioritize collection activities to achieve department goals in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle customer interactions professionally.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of billing, collections processes, and accounts receivable is preferred.
  • Problem-solving skills with a customer-first approach to issue resolution.
