Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client in Jacksonville, FL! This role is responsible for a variety of accounting and finance functions, including managing day-to-day financial activities, assisting with the month-end closing process, and contributing to the company’s growth through continuous process improvement. This direct-hire opportunity offers $85,000-$90,000/year!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting functions such as cash receipt processing, bank reconciliations, and accrual-based journal entries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations during month-end close.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and maintaining customer account information.
  • Collaborate with finance team members on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities.
  • Support audit and treasury reporting, as well as maintain the fixed asset register and related depreciation.
  • Assist in developing supporting documentation for tax filings and audits.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and support future growth.
  • Contribute to merger and acquisition (M&A) processes as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • At least four years of experience in a similar accounting role, with strong familiarity with month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with a solid understanding of inventory accounting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
