Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AP Staff Accountant to join our client in Jacksonville, FL! In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and contributing to the overall financial accuracy of the organization. This permanent opportunity offers $24-$28/Hour!

- Process vendor invoices, including ensuring proper approvals, purchase order matching, and accurate general ledger coding
- Manage and execute vendor payments, addressing any vendor inquiries or discrepancies related to payments
- Collaborate with accounts receivable to apply payments accurately and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures related to accounts payable
- Support new vendor setups, vendor credit applications, and maintain accurate vendor records
- Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by senior accounting staff or management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, specifically in accounts payable
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial data processing
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (experience with Netsuite is a plus)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a critical thinking mindset
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work efficiently in both team settings and independently
- Comfortable working in a digital, paperless environment
