Controller

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Controller to join our client for a direct hire opportunity in Elk Grove, IL! As the Controller, you will oversee financial operations for multiple locations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, compliance with financial controls, and strategic financial planning. This role starts at $125,000/year with additional bonus opportunities, depending on experience! 

Responsibilities of the Controller Include:

• Lead month-end close process, preparing and analyzing financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Implement and manage a shared service model for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
• Drive the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights to improve financial performance.
• Monitor operational costs, analyze variances, and recommend cost reduction strategies.
• Develop and enforce financial controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and protect company assets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or Accounting Manager role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of financial analysis and accounting principles.
• Experience in distribution-related businesses is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
