Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client for a remote opportunity! This permanent opportunity offers $75,000-$85,000 annually based on experience. This role will focus on managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, performing detailed account reconciliations, and supporting various initiatives aimed at enhancing financial operations and reporting. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with team members across departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements while driving efficiency in processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial reporting.
  • Perform comprehensive reconciliations for key accounts, including bank statements, revenue, and vendor analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements to streamline closing timelines and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain robust documentation and reconciliation schedules to support a strong internal control environment.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting systems and tools that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff with complex accounting tasks and procedural guidance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred).
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and expertise in account reconciliations and general ledger management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 and contract analysis, particularly in SaaS or subscription-based business models, is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
