Medical Malpractice Paralegal

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our client for a direct hire, hybrid opportunity in Bedminster, NJ! As the Medical Malpractice Paralegal, you will provide comprehensive legal support for medical malpractice cases, managing tasks from case initiation to trial preparation, while ensuring compliance with court deadlines and client needs. This role offers $65,000-70,000/year based on experience!

Responsibilities of the Medical Malpractice Paralegal Include:

• Assist attorneys in all phases of medical malpractice litigation, including case intake, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, and motions in compliance with New Jersey law.
• Maintain organized case files, ensuring timely tracking of deadlines and court requirements.
• Conduct legal research, including through Lexis, to support case strategy and document preparation.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and expert witnesses to gather case details and provide updates.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience, with familiarity in medical malpractice litigation and New Jersey law.
• Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an ABA-approved organization or a bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with daily time entry billing requirements.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a collaborative team approach.
• Experience with trial preparation; legal research skills are a plus.
