Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our client for a hybrid opportunity in Wilmington, DE! This permanent opportunity offers up to $90,000 annually with bonus opportunities! The Commercial Bankruptcy Paralegal will support a team of attorneys specializing in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and legal drafting skills, experience with electronic court filing systems, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in preparing and filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy petitions, schedules, disclosure statements, and related documents.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, orders, and other legal documents for attorney approval.
  • Prepare proofs of claim, fee applications, and correspondence with creditors.
  • Organize, compile, and manage case files, exhibits, and evidence.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure compliance with federal and local bankruptcy rules.
  • Manage deadlines and facilitate timely filings with courts and trustees.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with creditors, court hearings, and depositions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, creditors, and court personnel, ensuring professional communication and follow-up.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience working with Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and filings.
  • Strong proficiency in electronic court filing systems (e.g., ECF) and advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and creditors.
  • A four-year degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent education and experience.
