Contemporary Staffing Solutions (CSS) is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Medical Director, Radiologist, to join our client for a remote opportunity! This permanent role offers up to $400,000 annually based on experience. This role combines clinical knowledge, therapeutic expertise, and leadership skills to guide the design, execution, and oversight of imaging studies across various therapeutic areas, with a focus on oncology. As a subject-matter expert, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage directly with clients, and play a critical role in ensuring the scientific and operational success of clinical imaging programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide medical leadership and guidance on project teams throughout the lifecycle of clinical trials.

Oversee medical and safety monitoring activities to ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.

Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) for imaging-related trial design and the development of imaging charters.

Serve as a scientific and medical consultant to clients, providing therapeutic expertise and fostering successful partnerships.

Collaborate with internal drug development teams and external stakeholders to align imaging strategies with clinical trial objectives.

Oversee the training and performance of internal and external radiologists participating in clinical trials.

Provide medical oversight and expert review of imaging data, offering "second opinions" on complex or ambiguous cases.

Represent the imaging department in business development activities, including client presentations and project proposals.

Contribute to the strategic growth and positioning of imaging services in the clinical trial market.

Lead a team of imaging professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.

Act as a key member of the leadership team for scientific and medical affairs, contributing to strategic planning and operational excellence.
Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with formal training as a Radiologist.

Board certification in radiology (preferred).

A minimum of 5 years of experience in imaging for clinical trials, with 10+ years preferred, ideally in a pharmaceutical company, contract research organization, or academic setting.

Extensive experience in therapeutic areas such as oncology, with proficiency in core imaging paradigms (e.g., RECIST 1.1, Lugano).

Prior experience in a client-facing role with a focus on business development and scientific consulting.

Demonstrated expertise in imaging methodologies and clinical trial design.
