Job Title: Supervising Physician

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Physician to lead a medical team in a clinic serving a local school district. This hybrid role involves providing medical leadership, supervision, and support to a team of Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants, Phlebotomists, and other clinical staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high standards of care, conducting patient evaluations, and managing day-to-day activities of mid-level providers. This is a permanent, direct-hire position offering a flexible hybrid schedule.

Compensation:
$140 - $170 per hour

Work Schedule:
Hybrid, on-site 2 days/week
Part-Time: 20-30 hours per week
Rotating Saturdays 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM PST
Location: Clovis, CA

Key Responsibilities of the Supervising Physician:
  • Oversee medical operations and standards of care for a clinic serving 10,000-12,000 patients.
  • Provide medical direction and supervision to mid-level providers and clinical staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Conduct monthly chart reviews and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Offer medical consultation and performance feedback to clinical staff.
  • Manage and review clinic operations, including space design and equipment needs.
  • Lead presentations to clients and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for medical staff.
  • Ensure patient care is coordinated effectively within the team.
  • Foster relationships with local, state, and federal health agencies to maintain medical compliance.
  • Perform patient evaluations, diagnose, and develop treatment plans using evidence-based medical practices.
  • Prescribe appropriate treatments and medications.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure optimal patient care and accurate documentation.
  • Present clinic services to prospective and existing clients.
  • Help coordinate clinic operations, including scheduling and staffing needs.
  • Evaluate data for proposals and assist with clinic management.
  • Demonstrate core values in customer service, offering timely and thorough follow-up to both internal and external clients.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and provide solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in committees and workgroups to improve clinic quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor trends within the clinic and recommend improvements to ensure high-quality care.
  • Train new employees and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience/Education:
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree as a medical doctor (M.D., D.O., or equivalent).
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of operation.
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • Experience working with various patient populations, including women’s health, dermatology, etc.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
